Soon were getting rabbits we don't know if it is 20 or 60. So were building a rabbit hutch. Is it a big hutch. It is made of scrap wood and fencing.
I am excited about the rabbits. They are loose in someones barn. They are going to catch them, and then bring them to the motorcycle shop were my dad works. Then we will bring them home.
I like rabbits. I am going to use pelts to make a hat and mittens.

Oh, and if you want to read a really good book about rabbit biology, social structure, reproduction, etc, I would suggest, A private life of a rabbit, by RM Lockley.
And if you want a really good book about rabbits that talk, Watership Down by Richard Adams is a great one!

ReplyDeleteMy brother and his wife raise rabbits, but not for food. They are the Lop eared bunnies, she sells them to kids in 4-H or takes them to a feed store to be sold. They are HUGE!
